Its Time to Pick a side

It’s time to pick a side, since the fall single earring trend leaves only one lobe as champion. Rather than sporting the traditional two, the runways have lightened your accessory load by offering one well-dressed ear with an elongated, single stud dangler.

I'm not sure if I can trace mismatched earrings back to a certain point, but I've definitely been noticing it a lot more lately on the red carpet and in blogs. I can however, personally, trace ear cuffs back to the '80s .

How to wear These Earrings:

Rule number one when it comes to mix and matching earrings: choose similar metals or stones. There has to be some logic to the pairing. Otherwise, you’re likely to look more schizophrenic than chic.
Just follow Paltrow's lead and sweep your hair to the opposite side of the ear with hardware to balance out the look.
U can also keep the other ear simple (note Berry’s minimalist stud) to add both restraint and proportion.

Leaving one ear bare is also an option as Emma Watson.

Where to buy :

Forever 21

Although ear cuffs and mismatched earrings haven't taken off like crazy yet, I hope they continue their fashion trickle down … because they are an easy style to add instant glamour and interest.
