With Diwali jus around the corner I thought why not do a post relating to the most amazing Indian festival. As for ul who don’t know much bout the festival here is lil jist :
Diwali a 5 day long Hindu festival is celebrated throughout the world with great zeal and fanaticism. The word Diwali has its origin in the Sanskrit word "Deepavali" which means "rows of light".Diwali or deepavali is the festival signifying the victory of good against evil. The glittering diyas, the dazzling fireworks, sounds of crackers announces the arrival of the most vibrant festival of India-Diwali.
As most Indian women I too like to accessorize my home during diwali with a little knick-knacks. I prefer giving a personal touch to it with diy’s décor items.
For e.g. Take tall transparent glasses fill it half with any one flower petals and water spinkle plastic glitter in contrasting colour of flower make sure you use plastic glitter as it floats in water for the final touch jus pop a floating candle on top n voila ur diya’s are ready..
U cant have diwali without lights so here is a fun way to put up lights in our house…take any one colour led light ( easily available in market) put in a transparent bowl / vase and place it any corner of your house / room. U can have few of these scattered around the house…
Many of you who are not very gr8 @ rangoli (Like me) try making rangoli with flower petals, rice, pulses etc…its less messy n very easy to make.
For some who don’t have the time to DIY, I have the perfect solution for them....
